BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinians during predawn raids on Sunday across the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, after Israeli forces raided and searched many houses, the detainees were taken in for further investigation.
In the northern West Bank district of Nablus, Israeli forces raided several neighborhoods and detained three Palestinian youths who were identified as Raed Dabik, 16, Rami Abdel Haq, 19, and Sultan Makkawi, 19.
In the same Nablus district, while passing through the Zaatara checkpoint, Israeli forces detained a Palestinian who was identified as Bader Tashtush.
In the meantime, in the southern West Bank district of Hebron, Israeli forces closed off the entrances to the neighborhood of Tel Rumeida and al-Shuhada Street, in the center of Hebron.
Israeli forces banned the residents of the city from any movement in the streets.
Following this, dozens of Israeli settlers stormed the Tel Rumeida neighborhood, and residents of the area fear that the settlers will assault them, in light of the escalation of attacks during the past two days.
Israeli military detention raids in the Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps are a near-nightly occurrence.
UN documentation reported that between April 24 and May 7, Israeli forces conducted 127 search and arrest operations and arrested 151 Palestinians in the West Bank.
According to prisoners rights group Addameer, as of April, 6,036 Palestinians were being held in Israeli prisons.
