BETHLEHEM (Ma’an ) -- Israeli forces detained at least 13 Palestinians throughout the occupied West Bank during predawn raids on Monday, according to local sources.
Israeli Hebrew-language news sites reported that the detainees were wanted by the Israeli intelligence and were transferred for further investigation.
Israeli forces had also carried out raids across several cities in the West Bank late Sunday night resulting in clashes with Palestinian youths.
In the southern West Bank city of Hebron, locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained one Palestinian woman, identifying her as Safa Akram Shihdeh Abu Sneineh, after raiding and searching her home.
In the al-Fawwar refugee camp in southern Hebron City, Israeli forces detained Anas al-Absi from his home.
Clashes broke out in the refugee camp afterwards; no injuries were reported.
In the village of Tarqumiya in southern Hebron, Israeli forces detained on Palestinian identified by lcoals as Salem Ahmad Qabajeh, while another Palestinian was detained from Dura City and was identified as Mahmoud Muhammad al-Hroub.
Israeli raids into Palestinian cities, towns, and refugee camps in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are a near daily occurrence.
According to UN documentation, between May 8th-21st, Israeli forces conducted 177 search and arrest operations and arrested 220 Palestinians.
