RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces rounded up 17 Palestinian citizens in different West Bank areas and occupied Jerusalem on Thursday in the biggest such campaign in weeks.

IOF soldiers broke into many Palestinian cities, villages, and refugee camps and searched tens of houses before arresting this big number of civilians in a single day.

The Hebrew radio claimed that those Palestinians were wanted for interrogation for suspicion of planning attacks against Israeli targets.

Local sources said that nine Palestinians were picked up in Jenin refugee camp including two brothers after violent storming of the camp during which gunshots were fired at random along with stun grenades and gas canisters.

They said that the soldiers, who stormed the camp in 40 armored vehicles, took away with them four vehicles and a truck loaded with spare parts.

IOF soldiers barged into two villages west of Jenin and combed their streets in addition to areas adjacent to the nearby separation wall.

An IOF incursion east of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, was also reported at dawn Thursday.

Also on Thursday, the Israeli security forces detained three young men in Jadira village to the north of occupied Jerusalem after breaking into and ransacking many homes.
