BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained 19 Palestinians, including a 14-year-old boy, during pre dawn raids Tuesday across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
PPS said in a statement that Israeli army forces detained Mohammad Samer Mansour, 14, from the central occupied West Bank district of Ramallah.
Meanwhile, the group reported that Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from the al-Arroub refugee camp in the Hebron district, four from the Yaabad town in the district of Jenin, four from Nablus, two from Salfit, two from Jerusalem, one from Toubas and one from Bethlehem.
An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed 17 detentions from the West Bank to Ma’an.
Israeli raids into Palestinian towns and villages are near daily occurrence in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to UN documentation, between December 19th and January 1st, Israeli forces carried out 170 search and arrest operations in the West Bank.

Israeli soldiers carried out, on Tuesday at dawn, massive invasions into homes, in several parts of the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, and abducted at least thirteen Palestinians, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported.
The PPS office in Nablus, in northern West Bank, said the soldiers invaded Qusra village, south of the city, and abducted Qussai Abdul-Mon’em Abu Reeda, before confiscating his tractor.
The soldiers also invaded ‘Orif village, south of Nablus, and abducted Aseed Mohammad Shehada, from his home.
In occupied Jerusalem, the soldiers invaded many homes in Anata, Qotna and Silwan towns, and conducted extensive searches of homes before abducting four Palestinians.
The soldiers abducted Osama ‘Oleyyan, from Anata town, northeast of Jerusalem, Rami al-Faqeeh, from Qotna town, northwest of Jerusalem, in addition to Jihad Shweiki and his brother Eyad, from Be’er Ayoub area, in Silwan town, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In addition, dozens of soldiers invaded ‘Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem, searched homes and abducted the Secretary of Fateh Movement, Mohammad Lutfi Da’amsa, along with Nassim at-Teety, Yousef at-Teety and Omar ‘Aassi.
In Hebron, in southern West Bank, the soldiers abducted a young man, identified as Ayman Abdul-Rahman al-Qassas, who was previously shot by the army,
The soldiers also invaded and ransacked several homes in Deir Istiya town, northwest of Salfit, in northwestern West Bank, and abducted Sameh Omar Abu Zeid, 19, and Ra’fat Emad Thiab, 21.
In Salfit city, the soldiers opened fire at Palestinian protesters, in the center of the city, and confiscated surveillance tapes from a local gas station.
On Monday evening, the soldiers abducted a young Palestinian woman, identified as Sabah Abu Mayyala, 28, after stopping and searching her at the Abu ar-Reesh military roadblock, near the Ibrahimi Mosque, in Hebron’s Old City, in the southern part of the occupied West Bank.
The soldiers claimed the woman carried a knife in her purse, when they stopped and searched her.
