RAMALLAH, December 19, 2011 (WAFA) - Addameer Association for Human Rights Monday condemned in a statement the arrest of 21 Palestinians, including 11 minors, by Israeli police in Shu’fat refugee camp south of Jerusalem.
The press release said Israeli soldiers escalated their assaults against the children and youth of the refugee camp as police battered Palestinian detainees Moahammad Saleh, 20, and Mahmoud Rajby, 21.
Addammer lawyer said that most of the charges filed against the detainees ranged from stone-throwing, assaulting Israeli police officers, obstruction of justice, and protesting; the youths would usually be released with bail ranging between $100 and $270, as well as house arrest for 1-7 days.
