Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians on Friday in central Hebron after they had finished burying a settler and his wife in the nearby cemetery, after they died after under unrelated circumstances.
Issa Amr, of the Youth Against Settlements movement, said the attacks concentrated on specific families in a message that the settlers can strike "whenever they want, backed by Israeli forces."
This, said Amr, will not stop resistance to "Israeli racism."
He added that the clashes in the Tal Rmeida neighborhood had begun after one of the settlers spat on a young Palestinian man. This sparked a swift escalation in which both sides began fighting, he said.
Amr also said soldiers broke cameras belonging to internationals who filmed the violence.
