HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinians, including a husband and wife, from the Hebron district in the southern occupied West Bank during predawn raids Tuesday, according to local sources.
Locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained a Palestinian from his home in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron city. He was identified as Nasser Rateb Ideis.
Israeli forces also detained three Palestinians from the town of Ithna. They were identified as Tareq Ibrahim Awad, Adel Muhammad Abu Jheisheh and his wife Suzan.
According to United Nations documentation, Israeli forces conducted 166 search and arrest operations across the West Bank between October 24 and November 26.
Meanwhile, prisoners’ rights group Addameer recorded 6,198 Palestinians were detained by Israel as of October. The group has estimated that some 40 percent of Palestinian men will be detained by Israel at some point in their lives.
