BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces detained at least nine Palestinians during predawn raids on Thursday in the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) reported that Israeli forces detained a Palestinian after storming and ransacking his family home in the Qabatiya town, south of Jenin in the northern West Bank.
Three others from Qabatiya were detained after being stopped by Israeli forces at a Nablus-area checkpoint.
In the Faqquaa village north of Jenin city, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian.
Also in the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained two Palestinians from the Tulkarem district.
Two others were detained during subsequent raids in the Jericho district.
In the southern West Bank district of Hebron, Israeli forces raided the Yatta town and detained one Palestinian.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that eight Palestinians were detained during overnight raids.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to United Nations documentation, Israeli forces conducted 121 search and arrest operations across the West Bank and arrested 205 Palestinians, including nine children, between September 26 and October 9.
