BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained at least 19 Palestinians during overnight raids between Monday night and Tuesday morning in the occupied West Bank, according to Israeli and Palestinian sources.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society reported that 16 Palestinians were detained, saying that five were detained in the Qabatiya town, near Jenin, five others in Bethlehem, two from Hebron, two from Qalqiliya, and one from Ramallah.
Locals in the Hebron-area village of Beit Awwa, located in the southern West Bank, told Ma’an that Israeli forces detained Muhammad Yasser Abd al-Razeq Masalma after raiding his, and several other homes in the area.
Israeli forces allegedly confiscated 80,000 shekels ($22,851) Masalma’s home claiming the money was given to support “illegal” Palestinian groups.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that 19 Palestinians were detained in the West Bank, giving no details regarding the locations of the arrests.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
According to United Nations documentation, Israeli forces conducted 121 search and arrest operations across the West Bank and arrested 205 Palestinians, including nine children, between September 26 and October 9.

Israeli Soldiers Abduct Ten Palestinians In Bethlehem And Jenin

The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers have abducted, on Tuesday at dawn, five Palestinians in the West Bank governorate of Bethlehem, and five others in Qabatia town, south of the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
The Bethlehem office of the PPS said that the soldiers invaded and ransacked homes in Teqoua’ town, east of the city, and abducted Qussai Jamal Salman, 16, and Mohammad No’man Jibril, 17.
It added that the soldiers also invaded homes in Wad Maali area, in the center of Bethlehem, city, and abducted Ahmad Jamal al-Hreimi, 23, and Nader Ayyad al-Hreimi, 44, in addition to Khalil Khader Shouka, 23, from Hindaza Mountain, east of Bethlehem.
Furthermore, the soldiers invaded homes in Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, and summoned Ahmad Salah Taqatqa, 16, for interrogation in the nearby Etzion military base and security center.
The Jenin office of the PPS said dozens of soldiers invaded and searched homes in Qabatia town, south of the Jenin city, and abducted Mohammad Lutfi Abu ar-Rob, Maher Sati Abu ar-Rob, Abdul-Aziz Hasan Abu ar-Rob, and his brother Abdul-Mon’em, in addition to former political prisoner Ali Kamil.
It added that the soldiers caused excessive damage in the invaded homes, while violently searching them, and interrogated many Palestinians.
On Monday at night, the soldiers invaded Mothallath ash-Shuhada village, south of Jenin, and broke into a Coffee-shop before assaulting many young.

PPS: “Army Abducts Sixteen Palestinians In The West Bank”

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society (PPS) has reported that Israeli soldiers have abducted, at dawn Tuesday, sixteen Palestinians from their homes, after the soldiers broke into them and violently searched them, in different parts of the occupied West Bank.
The Hebron office of the PPS, in the southern part of the West Bank, said the soldiers abducted Mohammad Sami Dweik, and Mohammad Abdul-Razeq Masalma.
In Qalqilia, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted Humam al-Qadi, 22, and Yousef Ghlaeb Daoud, 21.
In Ramallah, in central West Bank, the soldiers abducted ‘Ala Ali Hamed and Kamal Suleiman Hamed, also from their homes.
In Qalqilia, south of Jenin, in northern West Bank, the soldiers abducted five Palestinians, identified as Abdul-Aziz Hasan Abu ar-Rob, his brother Hasan, in addition to Mohammad Lutfi Abu al-Rob, Maher Sati and Mohammad Kamil.
In Bethlehem governorate, the soldiers abducted Khalil Khader Shouka, Nader Ayyad al-Hreimi, Ahmad Jamal al-Hreimi, Qussai Jamal Ayyash and Mohammad No’man Jibreen.
