Israeli police spokeswoman Luba al-Samri said that two Palestinians from the southern occupied West Bank were detained in northwestern Israel on Monday night.
Al-Samri said that the two Palestinians were detained in Nahariya for having forged Israeli IDs, and driving without a license or car insurance.
Israeli police has already indicated that it would ask a magistrate's court to extend the remand of the two young men for further questioning.
In occupied East Jerusalem, the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) said that five Palestinians were detained in the neighborhood of Issawiya.
The group identified them as Muhammad Kayid Mahmoud, Amir Dirbas, Nadim Safadi, Khalid Abu Ghush, and Abed Dari, adding that Safadi, Abu Ghush, and Dari were minors.
