HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces early Saturday raided the Assideh and al-Turbeiqa areas of the town of Beit Ummar in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron.
Local activist Muhammad Ayyad Awad told Ma’an that Israeli forces raided and searched several homes in the village before delivering interrogation notices to former Palestinian prisoners Imad Rozy Abdullah, 32, and Ashraf Ali Ikhlawi Sabarneh, 30, to meet with Israeli intelligence.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’am she would look into reports on the raid.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces detained four Palestinians on Friday near the village of Bani Naim in Hebron, after allegedly finding a weapon in their possession, Hebrew-language media reported.
Israeli forces reportedly pulled over a car near Bani Naim and allegedly found a Kalashnikov rifle inside of the vehicle.
All four Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces and turned into Israeli intelligence for interrogation.
Israeli raids in Palestinian towns, villages, and refugee camps are a daily occurrence in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
When asked about detentions elsewhere across the West Bank overnight Friday, an Israeli army spokesperson also told Ma’an she would look into reports.
