ENIN (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 17 people early Tuesday morning in raids across the West Bank.
An Israeli military spokeswoman said 17 Palestinians were detained and taken for security questioning.
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine officials told Ma'an that eight of their members were among those detained, adding that soldiers broke into several homes to make the arrests.
PFLP affiliates Sufyan Isteiti, Muayyad Amer, Jamal Zubeidi and Muhammad Karam Mansour were detained from the northern West Bank city of Jenin.
Israeli forces raided several villages near the city. Jaafar Fawzi Abu Salah was detained from Arraba, Fadi Ubeidallah and Joseph Walid Salih from al-Zababida, and Majid Nueirat from Meithalun, PFLP officials said.
The Israeli army also raided the Jenin villages of Yabad, Sanur, Jaba, al-Shuhada and Bir al-Basha, witnesses told Ma'an. No detentions were reported.
Meanwhile, soldiers arrested two men at the entrance to Beit Furik village in Nablus, local police said.
Ahmad Hussein Hanini, 23, and Wahid Azzam Hajj Muhammad, 22, were arrested after the army erected a flying checkpoint at Beit Furik. Hajj Muhammad is a student at An-Najah University in Nablus.
Soldiers inspected dozens of vehicles, witnesses said.
In the central West Bank, soldiers detained three men in a raid on Kafr Malik near Ramallah, Palestinian Authority police said in a statement.
Police identified those detained as Raad Mazin, Hani Wafa and Abdul-Minim Wafa.

HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained nine people overnight Tuesday in raids across the West Bank, the army said.
An Israeli military spokesman said three people were detained in Beit Ummar, two in Tulkarem, two in Tubas, one in Qalqiliya and one in Ramallah.
Beit Ummar committee spokesman Muhammad Ayyad Awad told Ma'an that Israeli forces raided the Hebron village at around 2.30 a.m. and ransacked three homes.
He identified two of those detained as Yousef Muhammad Kamel Awad, 22 and Haidar Falah Hamdi Abu Mariya. Both have spent time in Israeli jails, Awad said.
