Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces closed several roads north and east of the southern occupied West Bank city of Hebron on Monday afternoon, with troops deployed heavily in the area.
Locals told Ma’an that Israeli forces closed the entrance to the village of Bani Naim east of Hebron, the northern entrance of the village of Beit Einun linking it to the nearby municipality of Sair, and the northern entrance of Hebron city.
Israeli forces were reportedly checking the identity documents of Palestinians driving in the area.
An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an they were looking into the reports. The reasons behind the closures remained unclear at the time of publication.
