Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces operating undercover seized a man from a Bethlehem refugee camp on Thursday morning, witnesses told Ma'an.
Khalid Nayef Ramadan, 30, was working outside his home in the main street of Duheisha refugee camp, when two armed men came out of a trade truck and grabbed him around 11 a.m., they said.
A group of Israeli soldiers then approached and detained Ramadan, they said.
An Israeli army spokeswoman confirmed Ramadan was in custody for "security questioning" after an operation conducted by Israeli soldiers.
Israeli forces ransacked two houses neighboring Ramdan's prior to the detention, having quietly entered the camp and deployed on rooftops near Ramadan's house, witnesses said.
Ramadan is affiliated to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and previously has spent time in Israeli jail, a Ma'an reporter said.
