BETHLEHEM, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 12 Palestinian citizens in a pre-dawn sweep of four Palestinian cities and their villages in the West Bank on Wednesday.
Local sources said that IOF soldiers detained five Palestinians including two brothers in Bethlehem after ransacking their family homes.
Four other Palestinians were rounded up in Al-Khalil villages of Sourif, Sa’eer, and Beit Ummar using hounds in the storming of local homes.
Eyewitnesses in Jenin refugee camp said that the soldiers arrested a young man after searching his family home, while two were taken from Beit Egza village, to the northwest of occupied Jerusalem, after storming a number of homes in the village that has been under siege for three consecutive days earlier this week.
Two citizens from the village were arrested while three were wounded during the siege and the ensuing raids on its civilian population, which followed a stabbing attack on a Jewish settler in the nearby Ramot settlement.
In Tulkarem, IOF troops stormed the village of Kufr Sour, south of the province, and broke into many homes forcing their inhabitants out during the search but no arrests were reported.
