BETHLEHEM (Ma’an) -- Israeli forces on Sunday detained at least nine Palestinians in overnight raids across the West Bank, Israeli and Palestinian sources said.

Israeli soldiers raided the al-Duheisha refugee camp southwest of Bethlehem, detaining Amer al-Hajajra, 35, and Salem al-Masri, local sources told Ma’an.

A Palestinian was shot and injured in the foot during the raid when clashes broke out between Israeli troops and Palestinian youth from the refugee camp. The injured man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Israeli troops also stormed the village of Beit Fajjar south of Bethlehem and detained two men, identified as Izz Samih Qawasmah and Walid Rizq Thawabta.

Israeli troops also detained Saddam Hussien Obayyat near Bethlehem, local sources said.

An Israeli army spokesperson told Ma’an that nine Palestinians were detained across the West Bank.

She said two were detained in Beit Fajjar, two southwest of Bethlehem, one south of Bethlehem, two in Hebron, one in Qalqiliya and one southwest of Jenin.
