Description
BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli undercover forces detained three Palestinians students as they were leaving their school in the village of Deir Salah in eastern Bethlehem and heading to a demonstration, locals said.
The forces dressed as Palestinians raided the Zuhur al-Mustaqbal kindergarten, using the school and its rooftop as a base, and scaring students and teachers, the kindergarten told Ma'an.
The forces then reportedly deployed from the kindergarten and ambushed three Palestinian students as they were walking home from a nearby middle school.
The detainees were identified as Wael Adel Radaideh, 14, Majd Ismail Salah, 16, and Murad Fayis Imayyeh, 15.
An Israeli army spokesperson had no information on the incident.
During the ambush, clashes erupted with Israeli forces in the village, locals said.
Earlier this month, undercover Israeli forces dressed as Palestinian protesters injured and detained three Palestinians during clashes near the Beit El settlement checkpoint, northeast of al-Bireh in the district of Ramallah.
The incident was caught on tape by an AFP journalist and later went viral, causing outrage at Israel's use of undercover forces -- known as "mustarabin" -- and their brutal treatment of the Palestinian demonstrators.
