Description
HEBRON, October 13, 2011 (WAFA) – A group of Jewish extremist settlers Thursday continued their attacks on a Palestinian school in Hebron, throwing glass and empty bottles at it, according to the school principal Ibtisam Al-Jondi.
Al-Jondi said that a group of extremist settlers attacked the school and, when the school janitor tried to stop them, he was assaulted and beaten.
She added that Israeli soldiers have prevented teachers and students from entering the school via the usual road for the last three days, under the pretext of 'a decision by the Israeli authorities to prevent the entry of any citizen without a thorough search through the electronic gateway stationed at the entrance of Al-Dabboyah.'
The principle stressed the teaching staff's rejection and condemnation of such a decision, adding that teachers have started to give lessons to students on the sidewalk in front of the Israeli checkpoint at the entrance of Shuhada Street in central Hebron.
Israeli soldiers tried to prevent journalists from approaching, said a WAFA reporter.
