Israeli soldiers invaded, earlier on Tuesday morning, Palestinian farmlands in Ertas village, south of the West Bank city of Bethlehem, and uprooted more than 10 Dunams (2.47 Acres) of privately owned agricultural lands.

Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in Bethlehem Hasan Breijiyya said the soldiers bulldozed and uprooted farmlands in Jabal Abu Zeid area, south of Ertas, and that the uprooted lands belong to Riyad Qaraqe.

He added that the army is alleging the attacked property is "state land," that cannot be planted or utilized by the Palestinians.

The official stated that Israel has recently escalated its attacks in the area, for illegal settlement activities, especially in Khallet an-Nahla and Khallet al-Qotn areas.
