JERUSALEM, August 26, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli police Wednesday raided the house of Secretary-General of Fatah faction in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, Adnan Ghaith, Wreaking havoc and assaulting his defenseless family.
The Secretary-General said forces broke into his home, tampered with its contents and photographed everything, under the pretext of newly built unpermitted structure. Ghaith denied these claims affirming there is no newly build structures.
According to Ghaith, police members assaulted his family which was present in the house; however, no injuries were reported. The police also handed Ghaith’s brother, Bilal, a notice ordering him to appear before the Israeli intelligence.
To be noted, this is not the first time such incident takes place; Israeli forces, at the start of 2015, raided the Secretary-General’s house, while he was spending detention time without charge or trial in Israeli jails.
