Israeli forces detain 4, raid homes in Nablus

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinians in the occupied West Bank early Tuesday and raided dozens of homes nearby Nablus, sources said.

Security sources told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained Muhammad Saad al-Sidqi, 28, from the al-Masaken al-Shaabiya area of Nablus.

An Israeli army spokesperson confirmed two detentions in the Bethlehem area for "illegal activity" as well as one "Hamas operative" detained in southwest Hebron.

The spokesperson gave no information on al-Sidqi's detention.

In the village of Beit Furik nearby Nablus, Israeli forces raided several homes belonging to Alaa Ahmad Hanani, Imad Ahmad Hanani, Ahmad Nader Nasasrah, Majed Thib Hanani, Wael Adel Nasasrah and Saad Mustafa Hanani.

Israeli forces also raided the Beit Dajan village and searched the homes of Mutei Abu Zaalan, Baraa Hanani, Manal Hamed and Rafat Abu Hanish.

Israeli forces have carried out a weekly average of 81 search and arrest operations a week in occupied East Jerusalem and the West Bank since the start of 2015, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.
