Description
In its Weekly Report On Israeli Human Rights Violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for the week of 29 Sep. – 05 Oct. 2011, 3 Palestinians, including a child, were wounded by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip. A Palestinian was wounded when Israeli forces attacked a non-violent protest in the West Bank.

Israeli attacks in the West Bank:

Israeli forces conducted 35 incursions into Palestinian communities in the West Bank, during which they abducted 3 Palestinians.

In one example of this week's 35 incursions, on Sunday September 30th, at approximately 19:00, Israeli forces moved into Bil’in village, west of Ramallah. They patrolled in the streets. A number of Palestinian children and young men gathered and threw stones at Israeli military vehicles. Immediately, Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets, tear gas canisters and sound bombs at them. As a result, a number of Palestinian civilians suffered from tear gas inhalation.

Israeli settlement activities:

Israeli forces have continued settlement activities in the West Bank and Israeli settlers have continued to attack Palestinian civilians and property.

Israeli forces uprooted 95 olive trees in al-Walaja village, northwest of Bethlehem, for the purpose of the construction of the annexation wall.

Israeli forces razed 15 donums[1] and destroyed some agricultural facilities in Beit Oula village, northwest of Hebron.

Israeli forces ordered stopping the establishment of an agricultural road and demolished 7 agricultural rooms, 5 tents and two water wells in Kufor al-Dik village, west of Salfit.

Israeli forces declared a plan to establish a new road for settlers on Palestinian agricultural land in Beit Ummr town, north of Hebron.

Israeli settlers uprooted 50 olive trees and took over 150 sheep south of Hebron.

Israeli settlers burnt 50 olive trees in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah.
