12:00 Feb 23 2015 Gates of Jerusalem Camp, near E1, exact coordinates unknown at this time

Description
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Monday evening detained a Palestinian woman near the Gateway to Jerusalem protest camp in the E1 area east of Jerusalem.

Lawyer Bassam Bahar, who works for a local committee in Abu Dis, told Ma'an that Israeli forces detained Lama Khadir Nazeeh, 26, near the camp site.

She was taken to a police station in the illegal settlement of Maale Adumim for questioning. Israeli police claim Nazeeh had obstructed officers while they were carrying out their work.

Earlier on Monday, Israeli forces demolished the camp for the ninth time in two weeks.

The Gateway to Jerusalem camp was set up three weeks ago by Palestinian activists to protest Israeli plans to displace Bedouin families from their dwellings in the corridor known as E1, between Jerusalem and Jericho.
