Molotov cocktail hurled at settler home in East Jerusalem

According to reports by local and security sources, at least 15 Palestinians, including five minors, were taken captive by Israeli army and police during predawn raids across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, Sunday.

In Hebron city, Israeli forces abducted five local residents identified as Mousa Amro, 44, Amjad Amro, 22, and Hussein Amro, 23, Mosab Zughaier, 22, and Ameen al-Qawasmi, 25.

Forces also stormed the nearby al-Fawwar refugee camp and the town of Dahiriya, where they took Ibrahim Battat and Hammam al-Titi, age 19. Muataz and Mohammad Abu Juheisha, two brothers, were also arrested after army stormed the town of Idna, to the west of Hebron, WAFA correspondence reports.

Soldiers also reportedly assaulted the brother of Ibrahim Battat, Khaled, during the former’s arrest, causing bruises throughout his body. He was transferred to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, soldiers invaded the town of Taku, to the east of Bethlehem, kidnapping three Palestinian minors after raiding and searching their houses. The three were identified as Mohammad Amour, 16, Mahmoud Abu Mfarreh, 17, and Ahmad Yousef Sabah, 17.

Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Israeli police stormed Jabal al-Mukabir neighborhood in the late night hours, and abducted 14-year-old Ali Abdu and 15-year-old Munther Abdu after a similar raid on their houses.

Mohammad Shwekat, 19, was also taken into Israeli police custody earlier last night.

Ma'an News Agency reports that unidentified assailants hurled a Molotov cocktail at a Jewish settler home in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem, according to Israeli police.

A police spokeswoman stated, Sunday, that the assailants threw the cocktail at a building known as the Ovadia House, causing serious damage to a car "seemingly belonging to an Israeli security guard who works in the building".

"No human casualties were reported," al-Samri added.

There are now reportedly over 500,000 Israeli settlers living in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, in direct violation of international law.
