Description
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained four Palestinian women and two men at one of the entrances to the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Monday, witnesses said.
The detentions took place as dozens of women marched to the Chain Gate to protest Israeli restrictions on access to the mosque.
Palestinian women were forbidden from entering the holy site from 7-10 a.m. on Monday, a day after restrictions saw women forced to pray in the streets surrounding the mosque.
The women were pushed away as they arrived at the Chain Gate while Israeli rightists toured the compound.
Israeli forces physically assaulted them, locals said, and took six to a nearby police station.
