Description
HEBRON (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Monday demolished several buildings in the village of Umm al-Kheir in the Hebron district, locals said.
Local resident Mustasem al-Hathalin told Ma'an that Israeli forces and bulldozers demolished four houses, steel structures, and a public bakery in the village.
The bakery had been demolished several times before, al-Hathalin said.
He said the houses belonged to Khairallah Suleiman al-Hathalin, Abdullah Salem al-Hathalin, Bilal Salem al-Hathalin, and Diwan Suleiman Abd al-Hathalin.
The steel structures belonged to Maliha Hamad al-Hathalin and Halima Ahmad Awadallah al-Hathalin.
A spokeswoman for COGAT, the Israeli defense ministry unit responsible for civil administration in the Palestinian Territories, did not answer calls seeking further details.
Some 27,000 Palestinian homes and structures have been demolished by Israel since it occupied the West Bank in 1967.
