NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Saturday morning detained five Palestinian brothers from their home in the village of Zuwata west of Nablus in the northern West Bank, Palestinian security sources said.

The sources told Ma'an that Israeli troops ransacked the home of the Saqf al-Heit family in lower Zuwata and detained Muatasim Saqf al-Heit, 33, and his brothers Muayyad, 30, Muhammad, 27, Ahmad, 25 and Saddam, 24.

The sources added that the Israeli soldiers damaged the interior of the house during the raid.

An Israeli military spokeswoman did not have any information about the arrests.

Approximately 7,000 Palestinians are currently being held in Israeli jails, including around 500 without charge or trial.
