12:00 Jul 1 2014 Israeli Supreme Court, West Jerusalem

Description
RAMALLAH, July 1, 2014 (WAFA) - The Israeli Supreme Court approved to demolish the house of detainee Ziad Awad, who the Israeli authorities claim that he had killed a senior officer in the Israel Police.

Members of the family and Israeli human rights organizations previously submitted a petition to the Supreme Court to prevent the demolition of the house located in the town of Idhna to the wet of Hebron, stressing that other members of the detainee's family live in the same house.

The public prosecutor claimed that the aim of the demolition of the house is to deter others from doing similar acts, especially since the incident of the kidnapped settlers occurred in the same area; where there is deterioration in security.
