BETHLEHEM, June 22, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli army Sunday broke through the Aida refugee camp near Bethlehem and sprayed waste water into a mosque as well on residents' homes, provoking clashes, according to local sources and witnesses.
Witnesses said army forces stormed the camp in the early morning hours, which led to confrontations with residents; soldiers fired tear gas canisters, stun grenades and rubber-coated steel bullets at the residents. No injuries were reported.
Soldiers also proceeded to spray waste water on every single house in the camp as well as desecrated a mosque and sprayed the waste water on it and inside its open windows.
Deployed in large numbers since the early morning, the soldiers further stormed local schools and alleys in the camp, causing a state of tension.
