Settlers cut down 100 olive trees near Ramallah
Israeli forces, Sunday, abducted five Palestinians from across the West Bank and summoned four others for interrogation, according to reports by local and security sources.
Undercover Israeli forces, driving a Palestinian licensed car, stormed the Jenin refugee camp backed with forces, taking with them two Palestinians aged 19 and 20, after raiding and tampering with the contents of their homes. The youth are reported to have been taken to an unknown destination, following the raid.
In the Jenin area, a 22-year-old Palestinian was taken by the army after they raided his house and tampered with its contents.
Furthermore, WAFA reports that forces stormed the town of Yabod, southwest of Jenin, and conducted a large-scale comb and search campaign. No arrests were reported.
Forces also kidnapped a 22-year-old Palestinian from the town of Deir Sammit, to the southwest of Hebron, after raiding and searching his family home using police dogs. He was led to an unknown destination.
According to Al Ray, his wife, Hiam Rajoub, said that "the occupation forces exploded the doors of the house and arrested Rizk, using police dogs in the storming."
She added that she and her husband survived miraculously, after fragments of the door came close to their heads while they were sleeping, pointing out that the army placed a large bomb on the door of the house before blowing it up.
Israeli soldiers forced the family members to leave the house for almost three hours while they inspected the house.
In the Salfit governorate, forces arrested a 33-year-old Palestinian after raiding and wreaking havoc upon his house. He was beat by forces during his arrest.
Another Palestinian was abducted from the Bethlehem area after a raid and search was conducted on his home.
Meanwhile, forces served summons to appear before Israeli intelligence to four Palestinians from Dheisheh Refugee Camp, south of Bethlehem.
The army also kidnapped a 24-year-old Palestinian from the village of Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah.
Also in the Ramallah area, Israeli settlers cut down more than 100 olive trees belonging to a Palestinian in the village of Ras Karkar, south west of Ramallah, on Sunday, according to the owner.
Azmi Samhan, the owner, told WAFA that more than 15 settlers raided his land and proceeded to cut down his olive trees.
He said that settler attacks against the villagers take place almost on daily basis.
The United Nations, and most countries, regard the Israeli settlements as illegal, because the territories were captured by Israel in the 1967 war, and are hence subject to the Geneva Conventions, which forbids construction on occupied lands, among other Israeli violations of international law.
During the years of 2013 and 2014, the number of prisoners in Hebron is up to 1,600 prisoners, 150 were children, and the numbers are constantly growing.
