[Monday, March 10, 2014] Israeli soldiers invaded various Palestinian communities in the occupied West Bank, installed roadblocks, broke into homes and searched them, kidnapping twelve Palestinians.

Local sources in the southern West Bank city of Hebron have reported that the army kidnapped nine Palestinians after invading their homes, in the al-Ja’bary neighborhood, and violently searching them.

The sources said that the army kidnapped Mohammad Khalil al-Ja’bary, his son Tha’er, Safwan Majdi al-Ja’bary, Sultan Ali al-Ja’bary, his brother Eyad, Omran Shukry al-Ja’bary, Tamer Jamal al-Ja’bary, and Kamal Abdul-Rahim al-Ja’bary.

Dozens of soldiers also invaded the northern West Bank district of Nablus, also broke into several homes and violently searched them, and kidnapped two Palestinians.

Eyewitnesses said that the soldiers invaded Tal village, south of Nablus, kidnapping Walid Jamal Aseeda, 23. Aseeda, a former political prisoner, is a student of the Najah University in Nablus.

In addition, the army invaded the Ta’awon Street area, in Nablus, forced resident Ammar Yasser Abu Za’rour, 24, out of his home, keeping him under the rain while searching his home, and kidnapping him before taking him to an unknown destination.

The arrests in Nablus are part of an escalating Israeli military campaign targeting students in the district, and at various roadblocks.

On Sunday evening, soldiers kidnapped a Palestinian at the al-Hamra roadblock, near the central West Bank city of Tubas.

Local sources said the soldiers kidnapped Mohammad Borhan Salama, 23, from Jaba’ town, south of Jenin, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

He was heading back home when the soldiers stopped him.

In related news, several Israeli military jeeps invaded Ya’bad town, south of Jenin, and harassed several Palestinians.

Local sources said that the army repeatedly invaded the village, on Sunday evening and Monday, at dawn, and used loud speakers and sirens as the villagers slept.

NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained a number of Palestinians in the West Bank in overnight arrest raids, locals and an army spokesperson told Ma'an.

Local sources said that Israeli troops raided the village of Tell south of Nablus and detained 23-year-old Walid Jamal.

Separately, Israeli soldiers raided Taawan street in southern Nablus and detained 24-year-old Ammar Abu Zarour, locals said.

Meanwhile, nine Palestinians were arrested in Hebron, identified by locals as Muhammad Khalil al-Jaabari, Thaer al-Jaabari, Safwan Majdi al-Jaabari, Sultan Ali al-Jaabari, Muhammad Hisham Jaafar, Iyad Jaafar, Umran Shukri al-Jaabari, Tamir Yaqin al-Jaabari and Kamal Abd al-Rahim al-Jaabari.

An Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an that the army arrested four Palestinians overnight -- one south of Tulkarem, one in Tell, one in Nablus, and one in Hebron.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
