NABLUS (Ma’an) – A group of extremist Israeli settlers on Thursday assaulted three young Palestinian men while they were picking plants south of al-Mughayyir village north of Ramallah.
Ghassan Daghlas, a Palestinian official who monitors settlement-related activities in the northern West Bank, told Ma’an that the assailants were settlers from Kokhav Hashahar.
The young Palestinian men, he said, sustained moderate to serious bruises and were evacuated to Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.
Daghlas highlighted that the young Palestinians were picking gundelia from a hill near Kokhav Hashahar settlement when a group of settlers surprised them and attacked them.
Daghlas identified the young men as Asaad Sami Naasan, Diab Naasan and Haitham Hajj Muhammad.
They were moved to the Ramallah Hospital suffering moderate-to-serious injuries.
In related news, Israeli soldiers bulldozed and uprooted nearly 102 dunams (approximately 25 acres) of Palestinian lands near the Solomon Pools area in Ertas town, south of Bethlehem.
Radio Mawwal in Bethlehem has reported that the uprooted land, belonging to Abu Sway family, had an Israeli military tower that was removed by the army a week ago, and that the army returned to the area and uprooted the lands, apparently to install a military base.
