Israel Demolishes Tent Village, Arrests 8 Activists in Jordan Valley

BETHLEHEM, January 1, 2014 (WAFA) – Israeli army Wednesday demolished the tent village of Kanaan immediately after Palestinian activists set it up as well as arrested eight activists, according to a local activist.Coordinator of the National Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Bethlehem Hassan Brijiyeh said that activists set up a camp in the Jordan Valley in response to a recent Israeli committee’s recommendation to annex the Jordan Valley.
He said forces attacked the activists and arrested eight of them.
