Israel shuts Gaza's Kerem Shalom terminal for second day

12:00 Dec 26 2013 Kerem Shalom Secretariat, Kerem Shalom, Israel

Description
GAZA CITY (Ma’an) – For a second day in row, Israel closed Gaza’s commercial terminal the Kerem Shalom crossing.

Israeli defense minister Moshe Yalon gave orders to close the crossing Tuesday after an Israeli worker was shot dead by a Palestinian sniper while fixing the border fence in northern Gaza Strip.

Kerem Shalom is the main terminal for shipping basic goods including fuel and domestic-use gas and humanitarian aid into the besieged coastal enclave, and it usually operates five days a week.
