TULKAREM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 12 Palestinians in overnight raids, an Israeli army spokeswoman told Ma'an Monday.
The spokeswoman said one Palestinian was arrested in Jenin, five in Anabta near Tulkarem, two near Qabatiya, two northwest of Ramallah, one in Beit Ula near Bethlehem, and one in Hebron.
Palestinian security sources told Ma'an that a number of Israeli military vehicles entered the village of Anabta early Friday and that soldiers raided houses, arresting Samer Moen Awratmi, 23, Bara Saber Abu Asal, 20, Khalil Ghassan Abu Raya, 20, Hani Subhi Abed al-Dayem Makhlouf, 24, and 19-year-old Odai Mustafa Obeid.

More than a dozen people from different areas of the West Bank were arrested by Israeli forces, Monday, December 23, according to security and local sources.
Among the detainees are five youths from the town of Anabta, near Tulkram, eight people from al-Mazra’ah al-Qibliyeh, near Ramallah, and an unspecified number of people from Beit Oula, located in Hebron governorate, as well as Beit Rima and Deir Abu Mashal, located within Ramallah governorate, the Palestinian News Network has reported.
In addition, a 38-year-old Palestinian was arrested after forces raided his home, in Jenin, said the sources.
Also arrested, on Sunday night, three people at an Israeli army checkpoint, east of Jerusalem, following a claim that the three attempted to attack checkpoint soldiers.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces raided the northern West Bank city of Jenin, detaining Wasim Awratni from the al-Basatim area. They also raided Sanour Village and issued a summons for Nejeh Hassan Habaiba to appear for interrogation at Salem Military Camp, where they detained them, Palestinian security sources said.
The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
