RAMALLAH, November 27, 2013 (WAFA) – A 13-year-old minor said he was subjected to many hours of torture and denied food and water for 18 hours after Israeli soldiers had arrested him, a statement by the Palestinian Prisoner Club said Wednesday.
Yehya Rajabi, from the old city of Hebron, was arrested from his home at mid-night Sunday and taken to an army base in the settlement of Kiryat Arba before being transferred to a detention center in the Gush Etzion settlement bloc.
Rajabi told a Prisoner Club attorney after his release Tuesday night that he was held for 18 hours at Etzion detention center without water or food.
He said soldiers shot between his feet and beat him severely with their gun buts and boots, kicking him in the stomach, back and head. He was also handcuffed.
Rajabi underwent serious physical and psychological torture during his two days in custody, said the Prisoner Club.
