Description
NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli settlers torched two cars and sprayed racist graffiti in a Palestinian village near Nablus on Tuesday.

A number of Israeli settlers from the nearby Havat Gilad settlement raided the Palestinian village of Farata in the northern West Bank district of Qalqiliya early Tuesday morning, locals said.

The settlers torched two cars belonging to Bahjat Mohammad Salman and attacked his house, which is located in the eastern area of the village.

Israeli forces and police arrived in the area and opened investigation into the accident.

More than 500,000 Israeli settlers live in settlements across the West Bank and East Jerusalem, in contravention of international law.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.
