QALQILIYA (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces carried out multiple raids across the West Bank overnight Monday, detaining 10 Palestinian men and teenagers in a series of sweeps and attacks on villages across the Palestinian territory.

Israeli forces stormed the northern West Bank village of Azzun east of Qalqiliya after midnight Monday and detained five young men.

Eyewitnesses told Ma'an that several Israeli military vehicles raided the village at 1 a.m. and ransacked several homes before they detained four young men and a teenager.

The detainees were identified as 22-year-old Urwa Abdul-Salam Radwan, 17-year-old Muhammad Mustafa Radwan, 22-year-old Mousa Basim Salim, 29-year-old Abdul-Hadi Muhammad Shbeita, and 24-year-old Ali Salih Sweidan. They were taken to an unknown destination.

Israeli forces also raided the old city of Nablus in the northern West Bank and detained a young Palestinian man. Local sources identified the detainee as 26-year-old Usama Herzallah.

Israeli forces also raided the Bethlehem district in the southern West Bank and detained four teenagers from al-Ubeidiya in the east.

Locals said they saw eight Israeli military vehicles storming the town at 1 a.m. before they detained four 16-year-old boys. Local sources identified them as Anas Mahmoud Khalifa, Fadi Shafiq Sarhan, Muhammad Izzat Abu Sarhan and Muhammad Amin Abu Sarhan.

Separately, Israeli forces ransacked the home of Ghazi Salah in Dar Salah village near al-Ubeidiya and handed a summons to his son Thaer, ordering him to go to Israeli intelligence offices in the Israeli settlement of Gush Etzion for interrogation.

An Israeli army spokeswoman said that only seven Palestinians had been detained overnight, having no record of four of the men detained in Azzun or one of the teenage boys in al-Ubeidiya.

She added that Israeli forces had also detained a Palestinian in al-Jalazun refugee camp near Ramallah as well as one individual in Hebron, but had no further details.

All the detentions were for "suspicion of involvement in illegal activity," said the spokeswoman.

The internationally recognized Palestinian territories of which the West Bank and East Jerusalem form a part have been occupied by the Israeli military since 1967.

Tuesday November 12, 2013] Dozens of Israeli soldiers invaded the Al-Obeydiyya town, near Bethlehem, broke into several homes, and kidnapped four children. The army also kidnapped one Palestinian in Nablus.

Local sources have reported that the soldiers kidnapped Fadi Shafiq Abu Sarhan, 16 years of age, Mohammad Amin Abu Sarhan, 16, Mohammad Ezzat Abu Sarhan, 15, and Anas Mahmoud Khalifia, 16.

All kidnapped children were cuffed, blindfolded and were moved to the Gush Etzion military base.

Furthermore, soldiers invaded Dar Salah village, east of Bethlehem, broke into the home of Ghazi Ismael Salah, and hand his son Tha’er, 19, a military warrant ordering him to head to Gush Etzion for interrogation.

Dozens of soldiers also invaded the Qaryoun neighborhood, in the Old City of the northern West Bank city of Nablus, and kidnapped Mohammad Herzallah, 22.

The army violently broke into and searched the property, and assaulted Herzallah’s father.
