Israeli forces raid Gaza border area, raze agricultural land

GAZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Israeli military vehicles crossed into a border area east of Gaza City on Monday, witnesses said.Five military bulldozers crossed into a border area and razed agricultural land, locals said.
An Israeli army spokeswoman was not aware of any military activity in the northern Gaza Strip, but said Israeli forces found an "explosive device positioned against soldiers in the southern Gaza Strip."
The device was defused, she added.
The Gaza Strip has been under a severe economic blockade imposed by Israel since 2007.
