ERUSALEM (Ma’an) -- An Israeli court on Tuesday sentenced four people from Jerusalem to various sentences between 18 months and years in prison.
Addamer prisoners organization lawyer Mohammad Mahmoud said that a court sentenced a young man and three minors on charges of stabbing a settler in Ras al-Amoud last November, and launching fireworks and homemade firebombs at an Israeli outpost in the Silwan neighborhood.
Mohammad Sameeh Abbasi, 18, was handed a sentence of seven years and 10 months, a suspended sentence of three years, and a fine of 30,000 shekels ($8,300).
Majdi Abbasi was handed a five-year and 10-month sentence, a suspended sentence of three years, and a fine of 10,000 shekels ($2,800).
Ayman Sameeh Abbasi, 15, and Mohammad Sultan Abbasi, 13, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined 3,000 shekels ($835). They were given until Nov. 3 to hand themselves in.
Mahmoud said he would appeal the sentences.
