BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained 14 Palestinians in West Bank arrest raids overnight Tuesday, locals and Israel's army said.
Military forces raided the Qalqiliya village of Kafr Qaddum at around 3 a.m. and arrested Ahmad Mohammad Barham, 16, Maen Amer, 21, and Fadi Bassem Joma, 24, locals said.
Local media coordinator Murad Ishtewe called on human rights organizations to stop the detention of children by Israel's army.
In Jenin, Ahmad Omar Mohammad Maghzoma, 33, was detained.
Israeli troops raided dozens of homes in the Nablus village of Beita, briefly detaining several people.
In Bethlehem, brothers Mohammad and Mahmoud Zeidan, and another man Khalil Riyad Namoura, 20, were detained at the "container" checkpoint.
Muhab Musa Dyab al-Jneidi, 25, was arrested in Hebron, along with another unidentified man and two people were detained in Tulkarem.
Four people were arrested north of Ramallah.
An Israeli army spokeswoman said 14 people were detained overnight, two in Tulkarem, three in Nablus, four in Ramallah, four in Hebron and one in Nablus.
All detainees were arrested on "suspicion of illegal activity," she added.
Since 1967, Israel has detained more than 750,000 Palestinians, including women and children, Palestinian Authority reports say.
Around 40 percent of Palestinian men living in the occupied territories have been detained by Israel at some point in their lives.

BETHLEHEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces detained a man at the "container" checkpoint outside of Bethlehem on Wednesday.
Khalil Riyad Namoura, 20, from Dura in Hebron was arrested after Israeli forces held him at the checkpoint for four hours before taking him to an unknown location.
