Israeli extremists puncture tires of 6 cars in Jerusalem
Description
JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Suspected Israeli extremists punctured the tires of six Palestinian vehicles in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

A local Beit Safafa resident told Ma'an that Israeli extremists sprayed "price tag" and "revenge" on the al-Tantur area of the neighborhood.

Six vehicles, belonging to the Alian, Ash-hab, and Zandil families, were also punctured.

The families filed a complaint with Israeli police, who have opened an investigation into the incident.

Unknown assailants threw a Molotov cocktail at a Roman Catholic monastery in Israel last week and scrawled Hebrew graffiti on its walls, reading "Gentiles perish" and "revenge".

Price tag is the term given to extremist hate crimes by Israeli settlers which generally target Palestinians.

Initially carried out against Palestinians in retaliation for state moves to dismantle unauthorized settler outposts, such attacks have become a much broader phenomenon unrelated to any anti-settlement moves.

They tend to involve the vandalism or destruction of property and have included arson attacks on cars, mosques and olive trees, but also target holy Christian sites and have even reached Israeli army bases.
