ERUSALEM (Ma’an) – A taxi driver said Tuesday that he was attacked by settlers while dropping them off at Pisgat Zeev settlement East Jerusalem.
Naim Yousef Elayan, 62, told Ma’an that around 3 a.m. two young settlers stopped him at Gilo settlement and asked him to take them to Pisgat Zeev.
“They told me that they want to pick up their friend and when they found out I was Palestinian, they attacked me with a 20-centimeter knife. They pointed the knife toward my neck but I held it with my hand and started screaming. They fled,” the driver said.
Elayan said he called police and soon an ambulance took him to an Israeli hospital where medics were treating a serious hand injury.
