Description
BETHLEHEM, May 11, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Saturday blocked a main farm road in the town of al-Khader, south of Bethlehem, which prevented farmers from reaching their land, Ahmad Salah, coordinator of the Committee against the Wall and Settlements, said to WAFA.
He said an army bulldozer closed off the road with a large rock making it difficult for the farmers to reach their land. The army had previously closed all farm roads in the area, which forced farmers to re-open the main road, the only one leading to their land.
Salah said that the purpose of closing the road is to prevent farmers from tending to their grape vines as the harvest season approaches, which will cause them great losses.
