HEBRON, May 6, 2013 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Monday razed tens of dunums adjacent to the Apartheid Wall west of Hebron, demolished two wells and destroyed the power network, said local sources.

Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and settlement activity in the town of Beit Ula Issa al-A’mli told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers razed about 30 dunums of agricultural land and uprooted 2000 Olive, almond and grape trees.

He said bulldozers demolished two water wells, razed land while Israeli soldiers prevented farmers from attending to their land.

Beit Ula Mayor Muhammad al-A’mli said that soldiers accompanied by bulldozers destroyed the power unit which provides the area with electricity.

Cartographer and settlement activity expert in the south of the West Bank Abdulhadi Hantash said that such actions aim to empty the land near the wall for settlement expansion.

Monday May 6, 2013, Israeli soldiers demolished the electricity network that provides power to Khallet Ad-Deeb and Attous areas that belong to Beit Ola town, west of the southern West Bank city of Hebron.

Issa Al-Emla, coordinator of the Popular Committee in Beit Ola, reported that the electricity network used to provide power to the western area of the Hebron district.

He added that the soldiers, supported by a number of armored vehicles and a military bulldozer, invaded the area and demolished the electricity network.

He further stated that the army also demolished a water well in the area, and withdrew later on.

The latest attack is similar to numerous previous attacks that led to the demolishing of homes, structures, and infrastructure, including wells.
