NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces raided the Beit Dajan village in Nablus on Monday and uprooted 500 olive and almond trees, locals said.
Gamal Kanan, 60, whose land the trees were planted on, said this was the third time Israeli forces had entered the al-Toyour neighborhood to uproot trees. He was told by troops that the area was confiscated land but says he has official documents proving his ownership.
Beit Dajan mayor Nasser Abu Jish denounced the operation and called on international organizations to immediately intervene in bringing a halt to Israel's actions.
