On Wednesday evening Jewish settlers uprooted 190 olive and fig trees belonging to Palestinian farmers in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
In a statement, The Popular Resistance Movement (Intifada) said that settlers from Halameesh settlement near Ramallah uprooted around 150 olive trees and 40 fig trees from the neighbourhood of Dier Nizam in the west of Ramallah city.
Intifada said: "The settlers caused considerable damage to farmer Said Sabri’s farm." As a result of the damage, the people of Dier Nizam are in a "state of rage."
Intifada confirmed in the statement that: "The aggression of the settlers, that they are uprooting trees, damaging farms and destroying Palestinian buildings, increases the determination of the Palestinian citizens." It also called for resisting the Israeli occupation and the settlers.
