JERUSALEM (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Saturday detained a Palestinian during a rally in Jerusalem's Old City, witnesses said.

Israeli forces suppressed the demonstration in Salah al-Din street and detained Shadi al-Moghrabi, witnesses told Ma'an, adding that al-Mograbi was assaulted during the arrest.

Palestinians rallied across the West Bank on Saturday to commemorate Land Day, marking the 1976 killing of six demonstrators protesting plans to confiscate Palestinian lands.
