NABLUS (Ma'an) -- Israeli forces on Wednesday detained a militant affiliated to Islamic Jihad in a raid on Rojib village near Nablus, locals said.
Locals told Ma'an that Israeli soldiers raided the Handoumi family home in Rojib and detained Awni Bani Udah, a member of the al-Quds Brigades, Islamic Jihad's military wing.
The 35-year-old, also known as Abu Sayyaf, evaded multiple earlier attempts to arrest him. He is from Tammun, east of Tubas.
Over 20 Israeli military vehicles took part in the raid, witnesses said, adding that Firas Ghassan Handoumi was also detained.
An Israeli military spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.
