Potential forced eviction and demolition in East Jerusalem

We have learned that four Palestinian families (32 people, including 20 children) have been instructed to leave their homes in Jabal al Mukabber by tomorrow, 20 December. Their building, which contains four separate apartments, has been slated for demolition due to lack of Israeli-issued building permit. The lawyer of the family has indicated that he has exhausted all legal procedures and that he expects the last appeal, which he will submit tomorrow, to be immediately rejected. This would place the families at imminent risk of forced eviction, which could be carried out by the Jerusalem Municipality at any time.
